We started StockDirect with the simple belief that there had to be a better way for producers to market their livestock.
We were repeatedly told by producers that they were frustrated by high selling costs and a lack of market transparency. At the same time, we were hearing from buyers and processors that not having direct relationships with their suppliers was a risk to their business, ultimately threatening their bottom line.
We recognised that there was an opportunity to create a platform that would allow producers and buyers to easily and securely transact, which would dramatically reduce value chain costs, and greatly improve price signals and information flows.
Our belief is that bringing producers closer to their customers will strengthen the value chain and foster more robust and meaningful relationships.
